The concept for Sunshine Steppers was conceived in July of 2006.  Not long after learning the 8 count here in Florida, we wanted to get out and see what the rest of the country was doing! We went to Atlanta and Chicago and came back with a newfound respect for the dance! We wanted to expand on the existing base here in South Florida! 

Our Mission is to provide information to the professional crowd here in Florida about Steppin' - related activities within the community all while facilitating the growth and expansion of Steppin' in the South Florida area. We hope to promote the art and grace of "Chicago-Style Steppin" here in Florida.  The partner dance offers the opportunity to mix and mingle with mature, elegant and professional people in a warm, friendly and exciting social environment.

To further introduce and promote this dance form, Sunshine Steppers will present workshops, classes and steppers sets to be held each month.

Our vision is to get the social crowd in South Florida exposed to a youthful yet soulful experience. We want to see singles, couples, businesses, community groups, schools, churches and just about everyone get involved.  This dance has the ability to bring the community together and the power to transform the social setting here in South Florida!

We will continue to work tirelessly to promote stepping within our community.  We do this for the love of the dance! We thank you for your continued support and hope to see you on the dance floor!!!!
